MAC Velvet Teddy Review, Swatches, FOTD

I was so looking for this day when I would be able to write a review on my first MAC lipstick. Its about the day I fell in love with MAC and definitely my first MAC lipstick... Thank you Samannita Di for this...

So here goes my review on “Velvet Teddy” from Matte range.

Packaging:-

The lipstick comes in a glossy black bullet case, with shade name and number at the base. One can feel the difference of other lipsticks and MAC lipsticks just by holding it. At least I felt it that way, it is heavier than usual lipstick cases.

Shade:-
MAC describes Velvet Teddy as a deep toned beige with a matte finish.  But on my lips the color is like the exact everyday pinky nude shade that I would always love to go for. It is the perfect neutral that is a perfect blend of pink, peach and brown. I wear it in my university during my classes without any hesitation and sometimes also complement it with dramatic eye makeup. I love the way it enhances my looks and I always get compliments.

Texture:-
Super creamy texture and glides buttery on my lips. It never feels drying on my lips, and keeps them perfectly velvety without bleeding or settling on fine lines.

Pigmentation:
Amazingly pigmented. Just one swipe to get the desired opaque coverage.

Staying Power:
When I don’t lick it off because of the awesome vanilla chocolaty fragrance, it stays on me for 6 hours even with small meals in between.

What I Like about MAC Velvet Teddy:

• Pretty everyday lip color.
• Goes well wit everything.
• Matte but not drying.
• Buttery smooth texture.
• Glides beautifully.
• Awesome pigmentation.
• Doesn't feel drying on lips.
• Doesn't settle into fine lines.
• Good staying power.
• Elegant, travel friendly packaging.

What I don’t like about MAC Velvet Teddy:-

• Pricey

Final Thoughts:- (Would I repurchase/ Recommend to others?)
Yes, a shade universally flattering and definitely worth trying. I love this color so much, such a versatile shade, perfect for everyone. The matte effect is not over drying but your lips definitely have to be well exfoliated and moisturized to get the best wear out of this lipstick.
