GET THE LOOK: Deepika Padukone Cannes 2018 Day 2 Inspired Look
Fashion in Cannes Film Festival has become all about experiments. From dresses, accessories to makeup and hairstyle, celebrities never fail to leave us gaping, sometimes in awe and well, sometimes in wonder.
After the immense love I received on my Aishwarya Rai’s Cannes 2018 makeup recreation, I thought of doing another inspired makeup, and this time it is Deepika Padukone’s. The leggy lass of Bollywood closed her 2018 Cannes Film Festival diaries making a bold fashion statement in an origami, frilly hot pink Ashi Studio couture and dramatic makeup.
EYES:-
The eye makeup is the center of all the attraction here.
I would recommend doing the eyes first, so that you can clean off the fall outs before doing the base.
I started by grooming my eyebrows and setting my eye lids with a skin color eye shadow.
Then I patted a matte black eye shadow on the center of my lids and blended well with a fluffy brush. I took the eye shadow past my eye area winging it out.
I swirled the same fluffy brush on a dark brown eye shadow and went to and fro on the crease, blending in with the black and winging it out just like the black.
Then taking a medium reddish brown on the fluffy brush, I went to and fro just above the crease on the wing, further extending it and also on the lower lash line.
(At this stage, everything looked so messy and funny with eye shadow fall outs all over my cheeks. This can happen with you too, so don’t panic. Using a wet wipe I cleaned off the excess and fall-outs, it started looking weirder.
Never mind, I went on with the look.)
I lined my waterline with a kohl and smudged it well.
On a pencil brush I took the same reddish brown eyeshadow and packed on the lower lash line again.
Applied highlighter on my brow bone and on the inner corners of my eyes and trust me, this step made all the difference.
Finally applied falsies and mascara to round off the look.
Phew..!!
All my eye shadows are from Coastal Scents 252 eye shadow palette. The kohl is Lakme Eyeconic and mascara is L’OrealManga.
I had to clean up again because of the extreme fall outs. The black eye shadow is such a dud.
I did my base makeup with Cinema Secrets foundation. Color corrected and concealed using shades from Kryolan Derma pallet. My blush and contour powder is from Ben Nye Blush Palette and highlighter is actually an eye shadow by Deborah Milano.
Lipstick is Yash by MAC.

ReplyDeleteI love this dramatic look! I'd definitely do the eyeshadow first, then foundation. I've ruined a flawless finish too many times with fallout.

ReplyDeleteDang girl, you look fierce! You really rocked (and nailed) that eye look!
ReplyDeleteThis is the most intense look I've seen. It's always hard to use a black e/s without getting that kind of fallout.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Looks incredible, and I can't really see the fallout until really looking for it since you mentioned it. Fallout is why I generally stick with eye looks first before doing my face.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful and bold look. Great job!
