Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Review
Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream is such a random buy. I have heard raved reviews about this product and ‘had’ to try it. And I was already an Innisfree fan, so no need of a second thought.
Rs 2000 for 50ml
Though this cream is easily available in India now, but I got this during my trip to an Innisfree store in Shanghai last year.
You can buy it from Nykaa or Innisfree stores across the country.
The cream comes in an orchid colored tub with a deep violet screw cap. The tub further comes housed in a white cardboard box. Every detail is mentioned on the box and as well as the tub. The tub is sturdy and has a very sophisticated, classy feel to it. However I hate dipping my fingers in tubs due to hygiene issues. So I keep a small spatula handy and it works fine that way.
The cream is pale pink in color and has an amazing floral fragrance. The fragrance is really soothing, calming and doesn’t irritate my sensitive nose.
The texture of the cream seems thick at first, especially when on the pot, but I was astonished to see how beautifully it melted upon touch with skin. It gets absorbed into skin with light patting. You just need a tiny amount.
Sometimes I even apply this during daytime, days when I am home and my skin feels dry or itchy after the bath. The cream is so rich and once it sets in, you will love the effect on your skin.
As per the anti-aging claims, my mother-in-law, who is in her late forties currently, has been using this for the last 2 months. Her skin too feels very brightened, replenished and rejuvenated, but I don’t see any miraculous effect on her existing wrinkles, fine lines and marks. Maybe two months isn’t enough, I’ll update it once she finishes her tub. She saw the price tag and almost fainted. I am still thanking my stars that she didn’t come running towards me with her chappal or cooking spoon. No matter how much you earn, your mother will still raise brows seeing expensive things on your cupboard.
The formula is rich and is great for people with normal to dry skin. However, I wouldn’t recommend this to people with extremely oily skin, it might cause pimples. But again, it depends on the weather too, if you have oily-combination skin and stay in a place having temperature 15∘, then you can definitely use this; just keep the quantity in mind.
I have been using this for 7 months now and loving it so far. Yes, it couldn’t replace Boroline, which is impossible, but now it has its own place in my heart and dressing table. And I am glad mommy dear in loving it as well. Otherwise ‘spending so much on a product that doesn’t work well’ could have landed me in a shopping ban by mommy forever. I am planning to buy Innisfree Orchid Intense Cream next.
I want to try this, it looks so light-weight and moisturizing :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a nice moisturizing cream!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it smells amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the packaging on this one. So pretty! I haven't tried Innisfree. Perhaps I should!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice winter option for me. I enjoy the moisture but only during the drier months for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely out of the loop and didn't know this was a thing! I use Innisfree Olive cream at night, and just looking at your photos and description, I think it is a little thicker than the the Orchid one. Even with my combo to oily skin, that works for me. I'll have to track this down and try it out. I'm not fond of most floral scents, but orchids usually don't bother me so it may be ok.
ReplyDeleteI like how you took these photos. I love orchids. I heard nice things about this Asian brand
ReplyDeleteToo bad it's not better for the anti-aging, then it would have been a perfect product for me!
ReplyDeleteI love that even the thicker creams from Korean brands are gel-like and "watery" rather than oily and rich.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I didnt know orchid was good for skin!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this but I do like Innisfree's Green Tea line! If I do try this range of products, I'd have to get the gel cream
ReplyDeleteThe packaging sucks me in! I haven't had the best results with overnight creams but that doesn't stop me from trying!
