Diwali is
round the corner and like every year I am here with some Diwali special makeup
and look breakdowns. But this year I’ll be doing a compilation post instead of
doing just one or two looks. The options are many, so that you can experiment
and mix and match to create your own Diwali looks. I want everyone to feel
amazing, look beautiful and their best selves on this day and always. So I try
to come up with these tutorials, all in the hopes of making the beautiful you
even more beautiful.
Most of these
looks are already covered on the blog. Just click on the links given under each
section for the tutorials.
So, lets
begin…
BLACK AND
GOLD HALO SMOKEY EYES:-
This remains one of
my most favorite looks till date. Spotlight/ Halo Smokey Eye makeup is in trend
now. I am kind of obsessed with golden eye shadows and I feel that no Indian
festive or traditional makeup is complete without a touch of gold on eyes. This
is a very glamorous, sophisticated makeup look. However, with this eye makeup,
instead of the burgundy lipstick, you can tone down the lips and go for a
peachy neutral lip color. I believe there is no rule book, it is about whatever
you are comfortable in.

SIMPLE
HALO EYE MAKEUP:-
Another
halo/spotlight eye makeup, but a simpler version. I went for silver this time,
you can go for the color you want. This eye makeup really opens up eyes and
gives the illusion of bigger, rounder eyes.

ROSE GOLD
SMOKEY EYES:-
Another favorite of
mine. Rose gold is a color which I feel is very sophisticated, feminine, soft
yet alluring and it goes tremendously well with our Indian attire.

COLORED SMOKEY EYES:-
The color of the
season, green. I love incorporating colors to go with my smoky eyes mood. You can
change the colors as per your wish. Blue, Green, Brown, Purple, Burgundy…basically
whatever compliments your attire.
SOFT
SMOKEY WITH A TWIST:-
The colored liner on
the lower lash line takes the simple , subtle smokey eye look to another level.

SILVER
AND BLUE EYES WITH DUAL COLORED WING
Dual colored wings
are very much in fashion now. I have shown a silver and blue eye makeup here,
but again, you can go with the colors of your choice.

GOLD
SMOKEY WITH COLORED LINER
I love makeup that has gold tinge to it, goes very well with our Indian skin
tone and screams festivity. This is a simple gold smoky eyes with colored liner
on waterline. No cut crease, no halo; just plain and simple golden smoky eyes.

PEACHY
EYES WITH COLORED LINER:-
A very subtle, yet glamorous
look. How a colored liner can change looks.

REVERSE
SMOKEY WING:-
This is your door to
glam look within minutes; winging and smoking out the lower lash line and
keeping the lid subtle.

SIMPLE PINK
and GOLD:-
A very pretty and
simple eye makeup look that you can do this Diwali. Subtle and stunning.
STROKE OF
GOLD
A thin
stroke of golden liquid liner can amp up any eye makeup in seconds. Try it. Go
with silver instead if your attire has silver work or is silver toned.
FINGER
SMUDGED SMOKY EYES:-
Last, but absolutely
not the least, if you don’t want to or have enough time to spend doing makeup,
this can be your savior. Soft, smudged smoky eyes look with just Kohl and without
any brushes. I love this look, so easy to create and doesn’t even take a
minute, yet looks tremendously sexy and alluring.

So that’s it.
Hope you find some ideas for the Diwali this year. If you recreate any, don’t forget
to share with us.
Lastly, I
would like to wish all of you a very Happy and safe Diwali. Stay safe and also
pledge a safer world for all the friends who can’t speak up, but die or
transfer into state of shock due to the sound of crackers. The thousands of
birds, dogs and other animals, they need us. Lets pledge for a cracker and
sound free Diwali.
