Cocoon Care: Website Review and Shopping Experience

When a child enters the world or even before that, since the moment a woman discovers that she is pregnant, she begins weaving a cocoon of love and protection for her little bundle of joy. From taking care of what she does and what she eats, so that the little one inside her womb is well nurtured and safe, to the cozy swaddle and warm embrace that mimic the safety of the womb after the baby is born, with her unwavering support and enduring love she builds a sanctuary, she creates a cocoon to protect her baby from the harshness of the outside world, where love persists and trust blossoms, where the tiny human can explore, unfurl, and grow, knowing they are unconditionally loved and safe within this protective embrace of their mother's cocoon.

Cocoon Care was born remembering this warmth and safety, commemorating this profound and intrinsic bond of a mother and her little one. I stumbled upon this brand a year back while searching online for muslin wash clothes and bandana bibs, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. While scrolling through its pages, it felt like being enveloped in a warm embrace, every product seemed to be meticulously chosen so that you can provide the best for your little one.

A brainchild of Krunal, Cocoon Care was launched to help new mothers find clothes and essentials made from natural fabric, devoid of any harmful chemicals. As he saw her sister struggle to find the right clothing for her little one, and was only restricted to cotton-based apparel. This is when he realized that there was a dearth of alternative natural fabric-based apparel. He spent months researching, studying, sampling, testing, and developing alternative fabrics. His aim was not only to match the properties of cotton but also to supersede it, and thus Cocoon Care took root. Later joined by Survi, they poured all their heart into making their place in the baby fashion world.

My EXPERIENCE:

The first thing that intrigued me was their bamboo fabric clothing line. When compared to cotton, bamboo fabric is known for its greater moisture-wicking property, better breathability, softness, durability, and environmental friendliness. I am a cotton lover, so I was pretty skeptical at first, but I also wanted to try this new fabric. Hence, I ordered two sets of Bamboo Long Sleeve Pajama Co-Ords and two muslin wash cloths. Before we delve into the nitty-gritty details of those, let's talk about the website first.

When I land on a website, the first things I notice are the color palette, images, and the overall visual appearance of it, closely followed by the ease of navigation. A cluttered website with a rabbit hole of complicated or non-categorized menus turns me off, makes me want to burst in and bolt out as soon as I land there. Cocoon Care ticks all the right boxes here. The website is clean, visually appealing, well-organized, and nicely segregated into different menus, making it easy to browse and find exactly what you are looking for. Moreover, how can one not like a website without so many baby pictures gracing it? So, from finding the things I like to eventually placing the order, everything was utterly smooth.
The delivery was super quick. The dresses came packed in simple, yet secure, no-fuss packaging.

Now diving into my favorite part: the super cute baby clothes! As I have mentioned earlier, the owner of the brand researched cotton alternatives for months and bought us Bamboo Fabric, which is not only soft and breathable but also a sustainable option for people who are concerned about and care about the environment. Bamboo is fast-growing and requires no pesticides and less water than traditional cotton, making it a great alternative.

The texture and feel of the fabric are very hard to describe. At first glance, they might look extremely thick and uncomfortable, but in reality, they are not. They are so soft to touch— like a cozy cocoon or like wearing a gentle hug, all day long. They are hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, super breathable, and have amazing moisture-wicking ability. They fit well, look cute and stylish, and the best part is, feel great against the skin, and I can confidently say that because my daughter is extremely fussy about her clothes, and if she felt even the slightest discomfort, she would have let the whole neighborhood know. The two sets have quickly made their way into my daughter’s regular night rotation. Her bedtime fashion is now incomplete without these two, which is an absolute win in my book. But regular wear means regular wash; and despite being made with natural dyes and organic material, they are resilient, sturdy enough to withstand repeated laundering without losing their shape, size, or texture. There is no pilling either, yet. They are becoming even softer over time without compromising their quality.

Now, coming to the muslin washcloths, they can be used as burp cloths, washcloths, or just regular handkerchiefs. They are so cute and soft that my little one can’t stop playing with them and rubbing them against her face. Now she wants one for her doll, too!

Final Thoughts:-
Overall, my experience with Cocoon Care has been a great one. The bamboo clothes are cute, comfy, and stylish. The use of natural dyes and organic fabric just adds to their appeal. The website is user-friendly, and knowing I’m making a more sustainable fashion choice makes each purchase feel even more satisfying. My only disappointment is that they don’t offer a wide variety for kids who are 3 years old and above. So I hope they expand their designs and patterns for older toddlers as well. And then maybe something little for us mamas or papas, too. Come on, we parents often pour so much energy into caring for others that the simple comfort of soft, cozy clothes can feel like a warm hug—a little cocoon to retreat into. What do you say? I mean, these are so soft that my husband and I feel like wearing them, and so we couldn’t help but suggest that.

So, if you’re looking for new wardrobe staples for your little ones that won’t cost the earth (literally), definitely check them out!
